On July 5th, 2008 - Makiko & I finally had our “real” wedding celebration - at least the Japanese side of it.  It was a spectacular day with the highlights being all those silly screw ups that you worry about before hand!  Who knew…

We’ve got pictures up the whazoo - have a look!  For those of you that attended and have more - please e-mail them to us!

My good buddy UK Mike (who I can’t thank enough) was kind enough to put together a video of the event for us to show our friends and family back in Canada (more details to come!).  To get a better sense of what the day was like - sit back, relax and enjoy:

Nice collection. You stole all my pictures already, so no more from me.

Still not sure why everyone was laughing at me when I drank the sake–dang jokers.

    Scott-san,

Nice ceremony. You wearing Kimono looks like a buddhist monk.

Will you held another ceremonies at Tokyo and Canada?

    Hi Okumura-san,

We already had another ceremony in Canada a couple weeks ago. I will post pictures shortly…

As for one in Tokyo, no - we didn’t plan to. Most people came to the one in Niigata, and we are both tired of wedding stuff. ;)

    Cheers,
    Scott
